LETTERS stating there was no third-party involvement in Fiji Airways’ deals to lease aircraft were sent to the airline’s board from Boeing and Airbus, says airline managing director and CEO Andre Viljoen. That’s the big news on the front page of The Sunday Times for November 12. In an interview with The Fiji Times’ online platform, the Lens @177, Mr Viljoen said discussions were held with both Boeing and Airbus, as well as leasing companies, when the airline decided to replace ageing aircraft.
