PACIFIC Fishing Company Pte Limited (PAFCO) has signed a sponsorship deal with the Fijian Drua, becoming the title sponsor for the Sun Bell Fijian Drua 10s tournament.
The one-day rugby tournament is set to take place on December 13 at Prince Charles Park in Nadi, bringing together eight teams, including two Drua sides and six provincial teams from the Western Division: Ba, Nadroga, Lautoka, Nadi, Yasawa, and Malolo.
At the sponsorship announcement, Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans expressed excitement about the partnership and welcomed PAFCO into the Drua Vuvale (family).
“Got another very enjoyable occasion for us here at Drua to welcome our newest partner Pacific Fishing Company or the principal brand that we will be promoting Sun Bell.
“I would like to welcome the guys at the company to the Drua Vuvale and say how excited we are to work with such a historic brand, with such a brand has been sort of synonymous with family life in Fiji for generations,” Evans said.
“When I did a little bit of research about the way the company has been built and the way it was established, and how important it is to that particular island, and the amount of employment that generates there it was quite humbling.”
Evans highlighted the significance of the partnership for the tournament and the Drua’s broader vision.
“Of course, Sun Bell will be the title sponsor of the drew attends on if I get my dates right, Friday December 13.”
PAFCO CEO Saiyad Raiyum echoed the enthusiasm, describing the partnership as a milestone for both organizations.
“We are excited and absolutely delighted having this opportunity to partner with Drua Vuvale and we look forward to making it a successful season over the next three years. We look forward to providing you with your daily nutrition to help you do better and perform better,” Raiyum said.
Raiyum also highlighted the long-term potential of the partnership, stating, “This is not just about this season. We’re looking forward to a successful three years and hopefully extending it for another three.
