Four people from Yanuca island, including a young boy, are missing at sea after they failed to return from a fishing trip last night.
According to police, missing are Aisake Talili, 39, Jone Qoro, 18, Aisake Talili, 12, and Ledua Taina Uluilakeba (32).
Police said the four left out yesterday afternoon in a 23ft fibreglass boat with a 40HP Yamaha outboard engine intact to the boat and were due to return in the evening.
“The villagers have already made a search at sea whereby two boats left out this morning and came back during lunch time with negative results. Another search session at sea will take place this afternoon depending on the weather,” police said.
People in communities along the coastal areas of Lami to Sigatoka to be on a look out to sea for the missing boat.
