Former Fijian Holdings CEO receives sentencing

Former Fijian Holdings Limited chief executive officer Mohammed Fareed has been sentenced to eight months and 22 days in prison after being convicted of two counts of indecent assault.

Chief Magistrate Josaia Waqaivolavola imposed an aggregate sentence of one year, three months and 22 days.

The offence was committed in 2019.

Seven months of the sentence was suspended for three years.

Fareed has 30 days to appeal.
