THE Fiji Airways Flying Fijians rugby team spent their day off today with students of Saint Anne’s Primary school as their way of exposing rugby to the young girls and giving their time to meet their fans.
Flying Fijian forward Dominiko Waqaniburotu said it was an honour and a privilege to be part of the whole gathering.
“Rugby nowadays is not only for men or boys, it’s also for girls and anything is possible if the heart is willing. And if you want to be a rugby player and represent Fiji, nothing can stop you from trying,” Waqaniburotu said.
“We are so honoured to be here today enjoying with our young fans and future rugby stars of Fiji.”
The team that will play against Georgia will be announced tomorrow.
