Fijiana name side for second Test

THE Vodafone Fijiana XV has named its starting side for Saturday’s second test against the Springbok women at Churchill Park in Lautoka, with several changes to the team that started the opening match.

Karalaini Naisewa will start at prop, with Bitila Tawake(vice captain) and Keri Lawavou retaining the number two and three jerseys.

Jade Coates starts at lock alongside Karavaki Lutumaibau, while Nunia Daunimoala and Adi Salaseini Railumu retain their places in the loose forwards.

Merewairita Neivoha moves into the number seven jersey, with Adi Salaseini Railumu at number eight.

Kolora Lomani continues as captain at scrum-half, with Varanisese Qoro at fly-half.

At centre, Ruth Raketekete and Ivamere Rokowati will line up together, while Atelaite Buna and Adi Vani Buleki start on the wings.

Litiana Vueti retains the fullback position.

The changes come after Fijiana suffered a 55-12 defeat to South Africa in the opening Test in Suva last Saturday.

Fijiana coach Willie Walker will be looking for a response from his players after identifying discipline, ball retention and defence as key areas for improvement following the first Test.
