The Inoke Male-coached Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua side is looking for a first win against the Brumbies on home soil at Prince Charles Park, Nadi at 1.35pm.
The Fijiana Drua won the 2022 Super W season. It was their first time in that competition.
The side will face the Brumbies today. Fijiana Drua coach Male said the players were well prepared for the match against the Brumbies.
“I think it will be good for the first time for the girls to be playing in front of their home crowd.
“There will be pressure going into the game as we are defending champions because we have new players in the team.
“There are many players who have moved abroad to pursue their rugby career.
“But I have that trust in the players to deliver against the Brumbies.
“This is a great opportunity for the players to feature on their home soil in front of their family members and friends.
“Last year we had all the away games in Australia. “This will be the first time for the home fans to see their team playing at home.”
Male said most of the girls had chosen to go abroad for greener pastures.
“There are a few who have niggling injuries while some have switched to rugby league.
“So we had no choice but to get some new girls. “They have lifted their hands to play for the Fijiana Drua.”
