Support continues to pour in for the Digicel Fiji Bula Boys as they prepare to battle against Vanuatu in the OFC Nations Cup semi-final today.
From the first night after they settled in Port Vila, the team was hosted to a welcome dinner by the Fiji community based there. Earlier this week, the national team needed extra water to stay hydrated, and the Fiji community quickly delivered cartons of water to the team’s accommodation at the Melanesian Hotel.
Fiji Community president Thomas Bruce said, “It’s all for Fiji.”
On Tuesday night, the team was hosted by a Fijian couple, Avinesh and Sanjani Nand, who had just opened their new restaurant in Port Vila called ‘Masala Magik.’
The couple stated, “We had absolute honor of hosting our home team, the amazing Bula Boys and their team officials.
“Such a wonderful group of young, talented players and to top it off we had the legendary Roy Krishna, we wish them the very best in the semi-final against Vanuatu.”
Regardless of the result, the Fiji community will host the team for a BBQ dinner tonight after the much-anticipated match.
Meanwhile Vanuatu football team is confident of a win against the Bula Boys as dust settles at Freshwater Stadium this afternoon.
Match kicks off at 4pm today.
