Several parts of Fiji recorded cool overnight temperatures yesterday, with Penang Mill in Rakiraki recording the coldest minimum temperature in the country at just 16 degrees Celsius.
Data from weather stations across the country showed interior and western areas experienced some of the lowest temperatures as cooler conditions continued nationwide.
The top five coldest overnight temperatures recorded were:
-Penang Mill – 16.0°C
-Nadi Airport – 19.1°C
-Nausori Airport – 19.0°C
-Tokotoko, Navua – 19.0°C
-Koronivia – 19.3°C
-Monasavu Dam – 19.3°C
Other stations also recorded relatively cool conditions, including Labasa Airport at 19.5°C, Matei Airport at 19.5°C and Ba-Rarawai Mill at 20.2°C.
Meanwhile, Rotuma recorded the warmest overnight minimum at 25.5°C.
Maximum temperatures across the country ranged from 25.1°C at Monasavu Dam to 32.0°C in Rotuma.
