ANOTHER major upset at the 43rd Marist 7s tournament as the Waisale Serevi-coached Russia Red team defeated last year’s Marist 7s champions Tabadamu Blue in the second plate semifinal 15-12 at the ANZ Stadium in Suva this afternoon.

The most-vocally supported team in this year’s tournament to the thunderous cheers from the vocal crowd, Russia ran in three unconverted tries in the last three minutes of the game after trailing at halftime by 12-0.

Russia will meet Police White in the Plate Final.
