The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) has started a review of sugar products produced by the Fiji Sugar Corporation.
The FCCC said the review is for the “Bulk Pack Sugar” and “Sugars of Fiji” products in Fiji.
According the to the last price determination in July 2022, price for 1kg sugar was set at $2.30, 2kg sugar was to be sold for $4.60, $9.20 was the price for 4kg sugar while a 25kg bulk sugar was sold for $57.50.
FCCC states these prices are now under review and those interested to make a submission can do so by February 20.
Submissions can be emailed to infrastructure@fccc.gov.fj or hand delivered to the FCCC offices at Gorrie St, Suva or the Raiwaqa office.
