Driver surrenders to Police after Tacirua accident

The 35-year-old driver allegedly involved in a motor vehicle accident that injured four children in Tacirua this morning has surrendered himself to Police.

Police said the accident occurred after 7am when the driver allegedly bumped the four children, aged 14, seven and five, while they were walking along the road.

Three of the victims were transferred to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital, while the fourth remains admitted at the Valelevu Health Centre.

All four are reported to be in stable condition.

The driver remains in Police custody as investigations into the accident continue.
