Cuvu College and SMC retain titles at Zone meet

Cuvu College and Sigatoka Methodist College have successfully retained their titles, at the 2020 Coca Cola Nadroga/ Navosa Athletics Zone meet which finished minutes ago, at Lawaqa Park, in Sigatoka.

Cuvu College won the Boy’s Division with 18 gold, 21 silver and nine bronze medals. Sigatoka Methodist College came second collecting 14 gold, 10 silver and seven bronze while Nasikawa Vision College was third with five gold, three silver and four bronze.

Sigatoka Methodist College reigned supreme in the Girl’s Division with 13 gold, 10 silver and six bronze. Navosa Central College came second with 10 gold, four silver and five bronze while Namatakula based Nasikawa Vision College wrapped up the top three, amassing seven gold, eight silver and four bronze medals.

Cuvu College’s Paula Nasara who won the blue ribbon event, long jump and was the anchor in the school’s victorious 4x100m relay team, was accoladed with the Best Male Athlete award whilst Mereani Bo of Sigatoka Methodist College, who triumphed in the sprint events and was a pivotal member of the 4x100m relay team, was declared the Best Female Athlete.
