COVID-19: New World Supermarket in Nausori closed for disinfection

The New World Supermarket outlet in Nausori is closed to today for the purpose of screening and disinfection.

This was confirmed by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services on its social media Twitter post this morning.

It stated that members of the public would be advised when services resume.

Yesterday, the neighbouring Nausori market was also closed to the general market for vendors and staff to be screened and swabbed for COVID-19.

Last night, the Ministry of Health announced that of the 9 new cases announced yesterday, two individuals are from Lakena, one of whom is a market vendor in Nausori.
