Any Fijian civil servant caught getting involved in the pyramid gifting scheme will be taken to task and charged accordingly, says Minister for Commerce, Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya.
“If you are a civil servant, please remember this goes against your code of conduct,” Mr Koya said.
“In addition to this, Fijians should remember that this is illegal by law. We have been saying this, the rule applies to every Fijian and it is very important to note that anyone caught involved in such acts will be dealt with.”
He said the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission was presently investigating complaints from individuals who did not gain anything out of the scheme.
