Lautoka-based chef Zunaid Khan is working with the non-governmental organisation First Responders to assist the underprivileged in the Western Division.
Mr Khan, who also runs a home-based food business called “FIT CHEF”, said a portion of his earnings was set aside for charity work.
“I collaborate with First Responders every now and then and we distribute food to the poor and needy,” he said.
Mr Khan said everyone was having a tough time but he urged those who had the means to reach out to the poor.
He said Fijians needed to look out for each other and to offer help where possible.
Mr Khan said a recent partnership with Fiji Responders resulted in 100 cooked meals being distributed to the most needy.
