A 29-year-old carpenter will be produced at the Nasinu Magistrates Court today charged with the attempted rape of a six-year-old child.
The incident occurred in Nakasi during a drinking party last Saturday.
Police had arrested the man who is in his late 20s.
Police said the victim was alone inside the living room watching television while her parents were with others drinking when he allegedly committed the offence.
The victim had been medically examined.
