A REPEAT of last week’s fifth place battle is likely to happen during the semi-final stage of the cup competition at the Cape Town 7s today.

The Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team beat South Africa in Dubai last week to claim fifth place and a win for both teams in the quarters will see them meet in the semis.

On this other side of the draw, it is expected to be tight as New Zealand faces an unbeaten Australia while England takes on USA who are yet to lose a match.

Fiji will play Spain in the second cup quarter-final at 11.26pm today.

The first quarter-final between South Africa and Scotland starts at 11.04pm.

Australia takes on New Zealand at 11.58pm while USA battles England at 12.10am tomorrow.

The cup semis begin at 3.34am while the Cup final will be played at 6.44am tomorrow.
