Budget consultations begin in Lomawai

National budget consultations began at Lomawai in Sigatoka this morning for key stakeholders in the Western Division.

Speaking to a group of sugar cane growers, Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad said he understood the problems farmers faced and wanted to learn more about their concerns.

“I would like to hear from you,” Mr Prasad said.

“We know there are a lot of problems within the industry.”

Consultations will be held by the Deputy Prime Minister in the Western Division this week ending in Ba on Thursday.
