INVESTMENT Fiji has been announced as the silver sponsor for the inaugural CIDESCO Fiji Congress 2026, strengthening efforts to promote Fiji’s beauty, wellness and tourism sectors and attract international investment.
The congress scheduled for August 29-31 in Nadi will host delegates from around the world, providing opportunities for knowledge exchange, international partnerships and business development while highlighting the country’s growing wellness economy.
Investment Fiji chief executive officer Kamal Chetty said the organisation was proud to support the congress because it aligned with its focus on sectors with potential for sustainable economic growth, investment and international collaboration.
“The beauty and wellness sector is an emerging contributor to Fiji’s economy, offering opportunities to create skilled employment, strengthen local enterprises and attract high-value investment,” Mr Chetty said.
He said the congress would provide a platform to promote Fiji’s beauty, wellness and tourism industries to an international audience while encouraging new partnerships and business opportunities.
“By partnering with this event, we are helping position Fiji as a competitive wellness destination and demonstrating the innovation, talent and investment potential our country has to offer.”
Nama Fiji and Spa Academy Fiji director Debra Sadranu said the organisation was honoured to welcome Investment Fiji as a silver sponsor.
“Their support demonstrates confidence in Fiji’s beauty and wellness industry and the potential it holds as an important contributor to our economy,” Ms Sadranu said.
She said hosting international delegates would help strengthen relationships and create opportunities in wellness, education, innovation and investment.
“The congress will further position Fiji as a wellness hub in the Pacific while showcasing the expertise and opportunities available across the sector.”
The congress is hosted by Nama Fiji and Spa Academy Fiji, and will bring together international leaders, educators, spa professionals and industry experts to promote excellence in beauty therapy, wellness and sustainability.
