Fiji’s first live bee wall is at the centre of guest experience at Honey and Hive Fiji, located at the Garden of the Sleeping Giant in Sabeto, Nadi.

The Bee Experience allows guests to safely observe a working bee colony and queen bee through a protected glass display.

The experience also features a boutique retail space showcasing locally made artisanal products and handcrafted goods from across Fiji.

Honey and Hive Fiji work with community-focused suppliers and small businesses that create meaningful employment opportunities for youth, widowed women, single mothers and disadvantaged communities through sustainable local enterprise.

Located within the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, the company has been developed as an educational and tourism driven experience designed to connect visitors with the world of bees through guided hive and factory tours, honey tasting and immersive apiary encounters while learning about the vital role bees play in biodiversity, food security and environmental balance.

The Bee Experience was officially launched in May this year, coinciding with World Bee Day, bringing together tourism stakeholders, industry partners and invited guests for a morning focused on education, sustainability and the importance of pollinators.

The event also highlighted the role sustainable tourism experiences can play in creating greater environmental awareness within Fiji’s tourism industry.

Tourism Action Group chairman Damen Gounder attended the launch as chief guest and commended the initiative for creating a unique eco-tourism product that combines education, conservation and authentic local storytelling.

The Bee Experience includes guided tours through the Honey and Hive facility, insight into the honey production process, educational bee interpretation and a fully suited apiary experience where guests can safely observe active hives up close.

Guests also enjoy an exclusive tasting of Honey and Hive’s signature infused honey range.

The launch showcased Honey and Hive Fiji’s expanding range of locally harvested honey products and reinforced the brand’s commitment to sustainable beekeeping practices and environmental stewardship.

According to Honey and Hive Fiji, the project is for both local and international visitors, with the aim of offering a deeper appreciation for bees and the ecosystems they support while positioning Fiji as a destination for meaningful nature-based tourism experiences.
