A Bangladeshi national died today following a workplace incident at a tourism development site in Rakiraki.
It is understood the man and several other workers became trapped under mud during the incident.
The deceased is believed to have suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
Three other workers were rescued and admitted to Rakiraki Hospital for treatment.
Questions have been sent to Police, and further details are being sought.
