Australia Country win opening match against Fiji Residents

THE Australia Country women’s hockey side edged the Fiji Residents 1-nil in the opening match of the Fiji Invitational Tournament in Suva today.

The home side played well and had some good chances but failed to find the back of the net.

The next match is between Australian Country and Fiji Warriors in the men’s division at 6pm.

The week long competition ends next Saturday.
