Nasinu Primary Schools Netball Association president Asenaca Chambers says the main objective of having the association’s competition is for children to have fun.

The competition on Saturday saw the conclusion of the final round of pool games and quarter-finals before the semis and finals get underway this weekend.

“Apart from the development of our players, the main objective for this competition is to have fun,” Chambers said.

A total of 10 schools were part of the competition that took place at the LICI Multipurpose Court in Suva over the weekend.

“We have 10 schools competing in this association competition, with grades from the U9 to the U14 division.”

The tournament is also a selection process for the Nasinu Primary Schools Netball Association to select their sides for the Fiji Schools Finals in Nadi at the end of the month.

“We should be able to select our teams by the end of today, where we will then start preparations next week.”

Parents, fans, and spectators flocked in numbers at the court to support their respective teams despite the scorching heat in the Capital City.

“It’s good to have the sunny weather back, and we are also happy to see so many parents, fans and supporters come out in numbers to support their teams.” || nasinu netball || “The main purpose here is to have fun.”Nasinu Pri
