The Federated Airline Staff Association (FASA) has launched a signature collection campaign in support of a proposed $8 national living wage, calling on its members to help gather public backing for the initiative.
In a circular issued to members on July 30, FASA announced that the “$8 National Living Wage Campaign 2026 – Signature Collection” is now underway.
The association is encouraging members to sign a petition advocating for what it describes as a fair and decent living wage. The signatures will form part of a petition to be submitted to the Government.
According to the circular, the campaign aims to collect 100,000 signatures nationwide.
FASA has urged members to play an active role in helping achieve the target, saying the campaign is aimed at improving living standards and promoting decent work for all workers.
Members wishing to support the campaign have been asked to visit the ATSET and FASA office to sign the petition.
The circular, signed by National Secretary Rimal Kumar, thanked members for their continued support and solidarity as the campaign gets underway.
