The anticipation builds in Lautoka as the city prepares to host the formidable Crusaders this Saturday at Churchill Park.
Anees Khan, the Chief Executive Officer of Lautoka City Council, expressed excitement about the upcoming clash and highlighted the efforts underway to ensure the venue meets World Rugby standards.
While the stadium and associated facilities will maintain the same standards as the previous year, Khan revealed an exciting development.
“We are working on setting up corporate hospitality cubicles on top of the grass embankment, which will be a temporary setup for this season. But looking to make a permanent setup for the future,” Khan said.
The temporary corporate hospitality setup promises to elevate the spectator experience, providing a unique vantage point for attendees to enjoy the game in style.
The move to create a permanent setup reflects the council’s commitment to enhancing Churchill Park’s facilities for both local and international events.
“The NRL game two weeks ago was sort of a testing of the turf, but the good weather over the last few days has enabled council to catch up with preparations. Rest of the stadium and associated facilities will be same as last year,” Khan added.
