Advisory: Fisheries service centres closed till Wednesday

The Ministry of Fisheries service centres around the country will be closed till Wednesday, May 19, 2021.

The Ministry in a statement today said its services have also been disrupted during this lockdown period.

Members of the public and fisher folks are advised to call the following mobile numbers for further information and clarification:

  • Regional Manager Central – 9908101
  • Regional Manager Western – 9906 539
  • Regional Manager Northern – 9966 770
  • Regional Manager Eastern – 9966 752
  • Offshore Fisheries Services – 9921 036

In the meantime, services provided by ice plant stations in containment areas are now on hold till further notice.

Services will continue for ice plant stations outside of Viti Levu.

Fisher folks are encouraged to adhere to the health regulations in place and to also stay safe during this period.

The Ministry will also await further announcements from Government on the measures that will be put in place in the coming days.
