Gau Kacau ready to participate in 7s event

GAU Kacau team manager Apenisa Nodrayaca said for the team it was duty that drove them to take part in this weekend’s Suva Rugby Union Rise Fiji Rise 7s tournament.

“When we heard about the 7s appeal, there was no way we were not getting involved,” Nodrayaca said.

This weekend’s Rise Fiji Rise 7s tournament raises funds to support and help those effected and devastated by Tropical Cyclones Yasa and Ana.

“When we look back at the damages by Yasa, we think dearly of our kinsmen in Bua who were hit hard. It wouldn’t sit right with Gau Kacau if we didn’t take part and did nothing to help our tau vu in Vanua Levu.”

Nodrayaca said they were eager to take part this week as they build up for the Tabadamu 7s next week.

“Every tournament is more experience for the side, and only makes us better and better.”

The Rise Fiji Rise 7s kicks off on Friday March 5 at Nasau Park on Ovalau.
