Motorists have been warned about widespread flooding on main roads around Viti Levu.

The Fiji Roads Authority has also urged members of the public to take the necessary precautions and take note of the advisories from relevant authorities.

Several roads around the country have been closed because of the damage caused by Severe TC Harold.

According to FRA, Edinburgh Drive in Suva has been reduced to a single lane due to fallen trees, while Laucala and Queen Elizabeth Drive junctions in Nasese, Suva, have been submerged in floodwaters.

“Fallen tree at Ratu Mara Road near the Nabua Muslim League Settlement is being cleared.

“Only essential travel should take place on the roads. If you absolutely have to use the roads, be very careful and avoid all flooded sections of road.”
