THE Fiji Airways Fiji sevens team will need to minimise their mistakes in Capetown, South Africa if they need to qualify for the quarterfinals this weekend and Monday next week.

Fiji is drawn into a tough pool this week and coach Gareth Baber and the players are working on ironing out some mistakes that caused them their defeat last weekend.

They also received the highest numbers of yellow cards in the Dubai 7s last week reaching a total of six yellow cards in four matches.

Captain Paula Dranisinikula and his warriors will open their campaign against USA at 6.35am this Saturday and their second pool match is against South Africa at 12.51am Sunday before they take on Japan at 6.35am Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Fijiana is pooled with New Zealand, South Africa and Russia in the Cape Town 7s.

The 2019 Cape Town 7s will be held from Saturday to next Monday.
