Oceania 7s: Fijiana defeats newcomers Vanuatu in opening match

THE Fiji Airways Fijiana side thumped newcomers Vanuatu 48-nil in its opening pool match at the Oceania 7s today.

It was scrappy side from the home side which scored two tries in the first spell to lead 12-nil at the break.

The Fijians looked more composed in the second spell adding six more tries.

Coach Saiasi Fuli was pleased with the winning start.

Meanwhile this was Vanuatu women’s teams first ever international tournament.
