SUVA primary schools athletics competition this year is expected to be more competitive compared with past years.

Suva Zone One meet manager Petero Tuisiga revealed this during their competition at the ANZ Stadium in Suva yesterday.

He said the Capital City zones would merge to form one team in the Fiji primary schools national athletics competition.

“We will field only one team in this year’s national finals,” Tuisiga said. He said it would be a test for the Suva team as they try the new format going into the national finals this year.

Meanwhile, Veiuto Primary School won the Suva Zone One competition on Friday.
