OFFICIAL voting for the 2018 Vodafone Popular Footballer of the Year award is now underway.
This is one of the 15 awards that will be given out during the Vodafone/Fiji FA Awards Nite 2018 on Saturday, February 02, in Nadi.
The six nominees for this award are Trina Rochelle Davis (National Women’s Team), Kavaia Rawaqa (Lautoka), Kishan Ravinesh Sami (Ba), Viniana Naisaluwaki Riwai (Rewa Women’s), Remueru Tekiata (Suva) and Savenaca Tabilai Baledrokadroka (Nasinu).
Fiji Football Association head of media Avikash Chand explained the process of voting for this award.
“The 2018 Vodafone Popular Footballer of the Year award will be decided through public voting via our Official Fiji Football Association Fan Base Facebook page (Link below),” Chand said.
“Voting poll has been created and the public can now vote for their favourite footballer from last season who they think deserves this award.
“Last year, we had a similar process of Facebook voting and the competition had been really stiff.”
Chand confirmed members of the public would not be allowed for multiple votes.
“The voting allows the public to vote for one footballer only and not multiple votes.”
Voting closes on Saturday, February 02, at 12pm.
