FORMER national rep Jope Tuikabe says the inclusion of overseas-based Fijian players makes a huge difference to the performance of the Fiji Airways national 7s team.
He said the 2016 Rio Olympics Fiji 7s gold medal winning team was a perfect indication of Fiji’s strength with the services of some overseas-based players.
Tuikabe who helped Fiji 7s team lift the first-ever Rugby Sevens World Cup to Fiji also attributed last week’s London 7s victory to the services of Toulon-based duo Semi Radrara and Josua Tuisova.
He said the inclusion of Semi Kunatani in the Jerry Tuwai-captained team for this weekend’s Paris 7s would also inspire the side to win.
Tuikabe said the overseas-based players have played in many high-level competitions with experiences in crucial games.
Fiji is pooled with New Zealand, Samoa and Kenya at the Paris 7s.
