KEEP those umbrellas and raincoats handy for the next few days as a trough of low pressure is gradually moving towards the group from the north.

The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 3:30pm today says associated cloud and showers are expected to affect the group for the next few days.

The forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group, expect cloudy periods with some showers over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa group, the eastern parts and interior of the other larger islands.

The weatherman says the showers will become frequent and spreading to the rest of the group from later tomorrow.

As for the outlook for Wednesday, there will be occasional showers over most places accompanied with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms.
