FAMILY and friends paid their last respects to the late Akuila Rasega who was allegedly murdered at the Suva foreshore last Thursday.
His funeral service, which took place at the Raibevu Methodist Church in Tacirua this morning, was also attended by his close friends from the Fiji National University (FNU), SODELPA Leader Sitiveni Rabuka and members of the SODELPA Youth Wing.
Akuila’s uncle Viliame Verealawa said he was always a joyful person who loved making everyone around him happy.
“With our family as well, whenever he was on semester break, he would come home and gather all the children in the neighbourhood and spend time with them,” Mr Verealawa said.
He said that was one thing that his family would miss about him.
