“Jerry is better than me.”

A powerful declaration indeed by Waisale Serevi, the man the world recognises as the king of 7s rugby.

The maestro heaped praises on Jerry Tuwai, a strong contender for the World Rugby Men’s 7s Player of the Decade award.

Tuwai, currently at third place, is up against some of rugby 7s greats in fellow 2016 Olympics gold medallist Samisoni Viriviri, New Zealand’s Tomasi Cama Jr and Tim Mickelson, South Africa’s Seabelo Senatla, Cecil Afrika and Werner Kok, USA’s Perry Baker and Samoa’s Mikaele Pesamino.
