DESPITE a strong opposition from Pacific countries during the Pacific Islands Forum Retreat yesterday, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison spent the rest of the night on Thursday dancing away to the Tuvaluan “Fatele”with his Tuvaluan counterpart Enele Sopoaga and Nauru President Baron Waqa.

Speaking after their performance, Mr Sopoaga said the Tuvaluan government had worked hard to ensure their interests were captured  in the final documents out of the forum here in Tuvalu.

“The leaders of the forum adopted what is to be a very concrete vessel for the way forward for us to address our vulnerabilities and to address concerns about climate change,” he said.

The leaders shed their tears in opening up discussions about the presentations of delegations here especially by the two young ladies from Tuvalu and Fiji talking about their plight. They cried with passion.”
