The Suva football team defeated Nadi with a scoreline of 2-1 in the second semi-final of the 2020 Punjas Battle of the Giants Tournament.
Nadi striker, Rusiate Matarerega scored a stunning goal in the second half of the match as the Jetsetters led the Capital side by a goal.
Suva crawled back into the match, as Ravnesh Karan Singh, equalized for his team and leveled the scores, late into the match.
The match was pushed into extra time, with Sairusi Nalaubu coming up with the clutch goal in the 9th minute of the extra spell, to propel Suva into the final of the BOG.
A new winner will be crowned tomorrow and history will also be made as no Southern team has ever won the BOG tournament held in the Western part of the country.
Both the semi-finals was worth the watch, as the crowd were amazed with the many intricate skills of the local footballers.
