2019 Coke Games: Karan of Tavua College creates biggest upset

UNDERDOG Yeshnil Karan of Tavua College created the biggest upset of day one at the 2019 Coca-Cola Games after winning the 1500m senior boys ahead of favourite and Fiji rep Petero Veitaqomaki of Marist Brothers High School.

Karan ran a time of 4m9.03s to claim gold while Veitaqomaki had to settle for silver with a time of 4m21.46s.

Tomasi Delana of Nadogo Secondary School in Macuata on Vanua Levu won the bronze medal in a time of 4m21.52s.
