Thirty years after last hosting the Bose ni Vanua ni Yasana o Lau, the yavusa Muairewa of Qalikarua Village, on Matuku Island came together on Saturday afternoon for a traditional vakacirisalusalu at Draiba Primary School in Suva to celebrate the successful event.
The thanksgiving event brought together men, women and children for an afternoon of fellowship, entertainment and cultural performances, including a display by the Police DB2 band. The celebration marked the end of months of preparation by the Matuku community, whose efforts helped deliver a memorable Bose ni Vanua ni Yasana o Lau.
