A YOUNG writer is finding it hard to get his book of poems published.
Yogesh Chandra, 23, has been working on his book of poems titled The Tragedy of Our Lives for more than two years with the hope to get it published.
According to Mr Chandra, he approached several people for two months to sponsor the publication of his book, but there was no progress.
“I thought I had done something, but when I came to reality things are very different, the market out there was unfavourable,” he said.
Mr Chandra said he thought writing the poems were the toughest part, but he was wrong because trying to get it published was tougher. The Tragedy of our Lives consists of more than 200 poems.
Mr Chandra hails from Labasa and he is a postgraduate student at The University of the South Pacific.
