PLAYER selections, coaching decisions and the overall preparation of the FIJI Water Flying Fijians which led to their 8-73 thrashing by England on Sunday were questioned by the former coaching director of the Fiji Rugby Union, Franck Boivert.

Boivert questioned the coaching panel for their decision to have Levani Botia named as number eight in the starting XV and the team’s overall lack of cohesion and disjointed performance.

It was their second Nations Championship loss following their 24-39 defeat by Wales on July 5.

Boivert criticised the lack of an attacking structure and remarked “what exactly” was Aaron Mauger, the Flying Fijians’ assistant coach there for.

Meanwhile, the Flying Fijians travel to Edinburgh, Scotland to face the Scots this Sunday at 1.10am.
