Outrigger Resorts and Hotels hosted the first wedding family incentive bringing in wedding agents and wholesale representatives from Australia and New Zealand.
The agents had spent three nights at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort and two nights at Castaway Island Fiji. Organiser and sales manager Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort and Castaway Island Fiji Lauren Jasprizza said hosting wedding for guests was pivotal for both resorts.
“I decided to produce a wedding family and wedding is a very big part of our business at both properties,” she said.
“And we really wanted to showcase to the agents everything we do for our wedding.
“It was just getting all departments to come in and talk about what they can do for the wedding- from the florist, chefs, food and beverage and the set up.
“And talking about names on the place cards, nanny services, and really going from start to the end.
“As well as the wedding planners and the sales team.
“So, it’s just about introducing all these agents and really experiencing what we can do for our wedding based on each property. “And we are grateful to Fiji Airways for providing the airfares to get the agents across to Fiji.”
Ms Jasprizza said the main wedding market for their properties were Australia, New Zealand, and America.
“We have had a few random ones coming from Europe and other Pacific Islands.”
