A trough of low pressure with cloud and showers remains slow moving to the southwest of Viti Levu.
The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning says an associated cloud and showers affects the southern, eastern and interior parts of the group.
The forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group expect occasional showers over Southern and eastern parts of Viti Levu, Kadavu, Lau and Lomaiviti group.
Showers easing from later today.
Cloudy periods with some showers and isolated thunderstorms expected over the western parts of Viti Levu and interior of the larger islands.
Isolated heavy falls possible.
Elsewhere, cloudy periods with brief showers and isolated thunderstorms possible especially in the afternoon or evening.
Localized heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
For mariners expect moderate to fresh east to southeast winds with moderate to rough seas.
The outlook for Thursday, cloudy periods with some showers and possible thunderstorms over the eastern and interior parts of the larger islands.
Elsewhere, fine apart from possible afternoon or evening showers.
