Update: 7:51PM HEAVY rain was experienced in most parts of Viti Levu this afternoon.
The downpour in Nausori around 5pm resulted in overflowing roadside drains and minimal flooding of residential compounds along Vuci Road.
Parts of Vuci South Road were also under water.
Suva also experienced the same downpour, so did some residents from Nadi.
Villagers of Tilivalevu in the district of Tabanivono, Nadroga, reported heavy rain and strong wind.
The National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi reported earlier this afternoon of a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers that remained slow moving over the group.
It expects this to affect the country until later tomorrow.
The forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group, occasional showers over the northern and eastern parts of Fiji, and the interior of the larger islands.
Isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms likely.
For mariners,a strong wind warning remains in force for Southwest Viti Levu and Southern Lau waters, Kadavu and Vatu-i-Ra passages.
Southeast winds 20 to 25 knots, rough seas, and moderate southerly swells have been forecast for all Fiji waters to midnight tomorrow.
Mariners are also advised of poor visibility in areas of heavy showers and thunderstorms.
