Director Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana is warning students and schools that police will not be tolerating any unruly behaviour at the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union Vodafone Deans quarter-finals tomorrow.

SSP Divuana says traffic officers will not hesitate to confiscate materials such as flags, if seen to be used in a dangerous manner from moving vehicles.

“Traffic officers will increase visibility along the Queens Highway, and major arterial roads and in the capital city,” SSP Divuana said.

“Flags are prohibited from being flown outside the windows of buses and cars, and we ask parents, teachers or guardians to assist by strictly monitoring children’s behaviour.

“Drivers are reminded to plan their travel ahead of time to avoid rushing.

“We are requesting everyone’s cooperation to avoid any major incidents on our roads.”

The Raluve quarter-finals will be played at the HFC Bank Stadium in Laucala, Suva today while the Super Deans quarter-finals are scheduled to take place at the same venue tomorrow.

In the past, it had been seen that some students failed to behave during and after the matches and the Fiji Police Force has said it will take actions against those not abiding by the laws.
