A THIRTY member local squad has been named to prepare for the World Rugby U20 Trophy in Harare, Zimbabwe from April 19-May 1.
National U20 coach Salimoni Ravouvou said while selection was hard, his decision was largely due to the performance of each player offset against the criteria they set.
“We had to consider the talent and skills available as well as how well they worked around the individual programs set for them. It was hard but we had to make sure we had the best team up to par with the standard of competition in Zimbabwe,” he said.
Overseas based players John Sauvou and Ben Naresia have committed to coming to the country to show their potential for national representation.
The team marches into camp tomorrow and all selected players are to report to FASANOC at 10am with their passports, camp kit including their rugby boots and canvas and a pen and notebook each.
