THE Vodafone U18 Deans elimination rounds will be held next Saturday, with the top teams from the respective zones preparing for a crucial battle for a place in the quarterfinals.

West Zone official Sekove Rasuka confirmed that the top two teams from each zone will host their elimination matches, including teams from the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western zones.

The top four teams from each zone have qualified for the elimination stage, but only the winning teams from next week’s matches will progress to the quarterfinals.

In the West Zone, Cuvu College and Ba Provincial Freebird will host their matches, while Ratu Navula College and Ra High School will travel north to face the Northern Zone’s top two teams.

Rasuka said the zone is currently working on confirming venues for the top two matches, with most grounds unavailable due to Skipper Cup commitments.

“Right now, we are trying to look for the venue to host our number one and two games. All venues are booked because of Skipper Cup, but we will look at one venue which will be favourable to both sides in terms of travelling and expenses,” Rasuka said.

The elimination rounds will determine the teams that continue their journey towards the national Vodafone U18 Deans title.
