A Suva resident and Hindu religious preacher, Sandeep Prakash, says his home was targeted in a robbery last night, leaving his family shocked and shaken.
Prakash shared a video on social media showing the extent of the damage and disarray inside the house, allegedly after two robbers broke into the property.
In his message, Prakash said the incident had deeply affected his family, but thanked God that everyone was safe.
“Our biggest concern now is the safety and security of our family and loved ones,” he said.
Prakash said an incident of this nature was particularly frightening because it occurred inside their own home.
He urged members of the public to remain alert, look after their families and take steps to strengthen security around their homes.
He also stressed that the safety and wellbeing of his family remained more important than the material losses suffered during the robbery.
